    Ok I have some spoilers. I don’t know if they are legit because I never read the story since I couldn’t find it anywhere and had to read spoilers given by others. So I can’t say anything about this specific information but be prepared for what I have to tell. So SPOILER ALERT!!!Carcel will be fine. The two lives Ines lived so far weren’t actually the first lives. There is another life Ines lived which she can’t remember. In that original first life she was married to Carcel and they were deeply in love but Carcel died on the battlefield (hence the duchess’ dreams about his death, I bet they are pieces of memories from a different life)While facing death Carcel prayed that if he ever gets to live again, he wants to fall in love with Ines again. He wished to never fall in love with anyone but Ines. Ines on the other hand blamed herself for his death and misery (the reason I don’t know) and she prayed to stay out of Carcel’s life so that he can be free from her and happy without her and that she would welcome any suffering to make that happen (that’s why she suffered in the other two lives we know about and that’s also the reason Carcel never got married in those lives)Now I think Carcel helped Ines escape with that artist in her last life because he had memories of the actual first life and wanted her to be happy even if it was without him. As we saw in the very first panel of the first chapter they will eventually find back together and I read in somewhere that from this point of the story I won’t be long until they recover the memories from their first life. What we can say is that Carcel loved Ines in every single one of his lives (so heartbreaking).Another important information is that the Crown Prince apparently remembered every life he has been through hence why things unfold differently than Ines remembers now. Like Carcel being promoted too early. In their first life the Crown Prince was also the reason Carcel died. At this point it is only my speculation but I think he wanted Ines as his Crown Princess in all of his lives. He got rid of Carcel in the first one, made her his fiancée in the second life before she could get married to Carcel despite remembering everything and hence his shock when Ines refused to marry him in this life. I think whatever now happened at the end of this chapter (I think possibly an assassination attempt on Carcel) is the Prince’s doing.
