Aster has been hitting the reroll button because she noticed her parents unhappiness and want her parents happy (even if it meant her not existing). I'm guessing she hit the reset button for Duke Sagna first only for him not to do anything to make himself happy (her parents most likely already passed by the time she studied enough to do this) so she tried again with her mom when she was on her death bed in what was probably her 2nd life (what we saw in the beginning).
